How to Convert Your PDF to High-Quality JPG

Open the tool in your browser and select the PDF files you want to convert. You can process single documents or add multiple files together in a batch.

Choose 300 DPI for high-quality output. Each page is drawn at that resolution so small text stays readable when you zoom in or print. If your pages contain mostly text or line drawings, choose PNG instead of JPG for crisp edges.

Start the conversion and save your images. The PDF is opened and drawn directly inside your browser on your device, so your private files are never sent to external servers.

What We Tested and How

On 2026-11-04, we tested the free tier of the tool using Chromium on desktop across 16 test cases.

All 16 tests passed. A standard PDF file converted to a 595×841 JPG image at 46.4 KB. A document with pages of different sizes also passed, producing a 612×792 image at 46.0 KB.

The tool also handled diverse content cleanly. A scanned, image-only PDF generated a 16.9 KB image. A PDF containing text in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, and Russian converted without issues to a 54.9 KB file.

What Happened With Problem Files

Empty, truncated, and non-PDF files were rejected with clear guidance. When we tested 0-byte, 1-byte, cut-off, and renamed JPEG files, the tool returned: "This file is not a valid PDF or it is damaged. Try re-saving it from the app that created it."

Locked documents cannot be processed directly. When given a password-protected PDF, the tool stated: "This PDF is locked. Unlock it in your PDF reader, save an unlocked copy, then add that copy."

Complex file names caused no errors. Files with very long names, extra spaces, emojis, or Korean and Japanese characters all converted into standard 595×841 JPG files.

Free Limits and When This Tool Is Not the Right Choice

The free version allows up to 25 files and 50 MB per batch. When we added 26 files, the tool showed: "Only 25 files fit in one batch. Convert these first, press Clear, then add the rest." When a batch exceeded 50 MB, it reported: "pdf_mb_51.pdf was not added: one batch can hold 50 MB in total. Convert these first, press Clear, then add the rest."

There is also a limit of 100 pages rendered in a single run. When testing a 101-page run, the tool stopped with: "Stopped after 100 pages in one run. Download these images, then split the PDF into smaller parts and convert each part."

This tool is not the right choice if you need to convert password-protected files without unlocking them first. It is also not suitable if you need to process more than 25 files, batches larger than 50 MB, or more than 100 pages in one continuous run.

We re-run these tests when the tool changes. Results describe this tool on the date shown.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. How do I convert a PDF to JPG in high quality?

Choose 300 DPI. Each page is drawn at that resolution, so small text stays readable when you zoom in or print. Pick PNG instead of JPG if the pages are mostly text or line drawings and you want perfectly crisp edges.

Q. Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and drawn inside your browser, and the images are created on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers or anyone else, so it also works for private documents.

Q. What should I do if my document exceeds 100 pages?

The tool stops after 100 pages in one run. Download the images created for the first 100 pages, split the original PDF into smaller parts, and convert each part separately.
