How to sign your PDF
Open https://avaloncompany.ai/tools/sign-pdf/ and add your PDF.
Choose Draw signature and sign on the pad. Press Add here above the page you want to sign, then drag the signature into place. Pull the round corner handle to resize it.
Press Save signed PDF. If the page is still open, you can move, resize or remove items and save again.
What we tested
We tested the free version in desktop Chromium on 2026-11-06. All 6 test cases passed.
The typical file produced a 3-page PDF. The tool reported: โ15.6 KB ยท 1 item on 1 page.โ
What happened with difficult files
The password-protected PDF did not produce an output. The tool said: โThis PDF is locked. Unlock it in your PDF reader, save an unlocked copy, then add that copy.โ
The renamed JPEG, cut-off PDF and empty PDF also produced no output. For each, the tool said: โThis file is not a valid PDF or it is damaged. Try re-saving it from the app that created it.โ
For the file over the free size limit, the tool reported: โpdf_mb_101.pdf is larger than 100 MB.โ
Free limits and when to use another method
You can work on one PDF at a time and add as many signatures, text boxes and dates as you need. The tested file over the free size limit was rejected as larger than 100 MB.
The tool adds a visual signature. It is not a certified digital signature that proves who signed and that the file was not changed afterwards. If a contract, government form or regulated document requires a certified signature, use the required method. If you are unsure, ask the person or office that requested it.

The tool page says the PDF is opened and saved in your browser on your device, and your signature never leaves it. Nothing is sent to the tool's servers or anyone else, and the tool does not keep your signature after you close the page.
Q. Can I change my signature after saving?
You can move, resize or remove it and save again while the page is still open. Once saved, the signature is part of the page and cannot be moved in other apps.
