यह टूल क्या करता है
Pick your application stack, choose the coding guardrails you want to enforce, and get a ready-to-use .cursorrules or .cursor/rules/project.mdc file right away. You can copy the generated rules to your clipboard or download the file straight into your project folder, with live word, character and rough token counts so your rules stay lean and fast.
Why project rules matter for AI coding
Without clear boundaries, AI code editors often over-engineer small tasks: they rewrite working functions you did not ask them to touch, add speculative abstractions for single-use helpers, or invent dependencies that are not in your project. A short, explicit rules file fixes that by setting four engineering habits up front:
- Think before coding: state assumptions explicitly and surface tradeoffs instead of guessing silently.
- Simplicity first: write the minimum code that solves the problem, with no unrequested features or single-use abstractions.
- Surgical changes: touch only the lines needed for the request and clean up only unused imports created by your own edit.
- Goal-driven verification: define how each change will be verified and ensure existing tests pass before and after.
इसका इस्तेमाल कैसे करें
- Choose your Framework & stack (such as Next.js + TypeScript, React + Vite, FastAPI, Node.js, Django or Flutter).
- Tick the Engineering guardrails you want to enforce in every edit.
- Pick the Output format (
.cursorrulesfor the project root,.cursor/rules/project.mdcwith YAML frontmatter, orAGENTS.md). - Add any project-specific notes (such as folder conventions or test commands) in the optional box.
- Press Copy rules or Download file, then drop the file into your project folder.

अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल
What is a .cursorrules or .mdc rules file?
It is a plain-text configuration file placed in the root of your project folder (or inside .cursor/rules/ as an .mdc file) that tells your AI code editor how to write, edit and structure code for that specific project.
How do I stop my AI editor from rewriting whole files?
Keep the Surgical Edits and Simplicity First guardrails ticked above. They instruct the assistant to touch only the lines required for your request, leave adjacent functions and formatting alone, and state assumptions before making large changes.
Which format should I choose: .cursorrules or .mdc?
Choose .cursor/rules/project.mdc for newer Cursor versions that use modular rule files with YAML frontmatter and file-matching globs. Choose .cursorrules if you want a single root file that works across older setups and other editors.
Is my configuration sent to a server?
No. Everything is assembled right in your browser on your own device. Nothing you select or type is uploaded.
Can I save my custom setup for future projects?
Yes. With Avalon Pro you can save your favourite framework, guardrail and custom instruction presets in your browser and switch between them in one click.
