How to use it

Where does the mcp.json file go?

Place the file at .cursor/mcp.json inside your project folder for project-specific tools, or in your global editor configuration folder so every workspace can call the same MCP servers.

What is the difference between a remote SSE/HTTP MCP endpoint and a local stdio server?

A remote endpoint runs in the cloud over HTTPS (using the url field in mcp.json) so you do not need to install Node or Python packages locally. A local stdio server runs on your machine using command and args (such as npx).

What is llms.txt and where do I host it?

llms.txt is a plain-text Markdown index placed at the root of your website (https://example.com/llms.txt) that helps language models and answer engines read your documentation, tools, and APIs cleanly without scraping noisy HTML.

Does this generator send my configuration to a server?

No. Everything is assembled in your browser memory. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on our servers.
