Free HEIC to JPG Converter: iPhone Photos to JPG in Bulk

Last updated By Avalon

Turn iPhone and iPad HEIC photos into JPG files that open anywhere, many at once, right in your browser.

Your images never leave your device. Conversion happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server.

Converting saves a new image, so hidden photo details such as GPS location, camera, date taken and author are not copied into it. One exception: when the new file would be the same format and size but larger, the original is kept as it is, details included.

    What this tool does

To convert HEIC to JPG for free, drop your iPhone photos above and press Convert to JPG: each photo comes back as a JPG that opens on Windows, websites and forms, with no sign-up and no watermark. You can convert up to 30 photos in one go and download them all at once.

    How to use it

    1. Drop your HEIC photos into the box above, or click it to choose them. On an iPhone, pick them from your photo library.
    2. Leave Convert to on JPG. Adjust Quality if you want smaller or sharper files.
    3. Optionally set a Max width or Max height to make the photos smaller.
    4. Press Convert to JPG, then download each file or press Download all.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEIC to JPG for free?

Drop your HEIC photos above, leave Convert to on JPG and press Convert to JPG. Each photo comes back as a JPG you can download one by one or all at once, with no sign-up and no watermark.

    What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default. It keeps photos small, but many Windows programs, websites and forms do not open it. JPG opens everywhere.

Can I convert HEIC to JPG on my iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. Open this page in your phone's browser, tap the box to choose photos, and download the JPGs. It works the same way on a computer.

    Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The photos are decoded and saved as JPG inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to our servers.

    Does converting lower the quality?

JPG is saved at the quality you choose, 90 percent by default, which looks the same as the original to the eye. Move the Quality slider up to 100 for printing, or down for smaller files.

Is the location and other photo info kept?

No. The JPG is a new file, so details such as GPS location, camera and date taken are not copied into it. That makes the JPG safer to share.

How many photos can I convert at once?

Up to 30 photos per batch, free. Avalon Pro takes up to 500 at once and adds a ZIP download, saved presets and your own file names.
