Free Extract PDF Pages: Save Only the Pages You Need

Last updated By Avalon

Type the page numbers you want, such as 2, 5-7, and get a new PDF with only those pages, in that order.

Your files never leave your device. Everything is processed in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server.

      What this tool does

To extract pages from a PDF for free, drop it above, type the page numbers you want and press Extract pages: you get a new PDF with only those pages, with no sign-up and no watermark. It is the fastest way to pull a signed page out of a contract, a chapter out of a book, or the two pages a form asks for out of a long statement.

      How to use it

      1. Drop your PDF into the box above, or click it to choose it.
      2. Under Pages to extract, type the pages you want, for example 2, 5-7.
      3. Leave Save as on Selected pages in one PDF, or choose to get one PDF per range or one PDF per page.
      4. Press Extract pages, then Download.

      Tips

      • Easier to click than to type? Use our free delete PDF pages tool and remove the pages you do not want.
      • Want each range as a separate file? Our free split PDF tool does that by default.
      • Sending the extracted pages by email? Make them smaller with our free compress PDF tool.

      Frequently asked questions

How do I extract pages from a PDF for free?

Drop the PDF above, type the pages you want under Pages to extract, for example 2, 5-7, and press Extract pages. You get one new PDF with only those pages, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Can I change the page order while extracting?

Yes. The pages go into the new PDF in the order you type them, so 5, 1-3 puts page 5 first. A page you type twice is added only once.

How is this different from splitting a PDF?

Extracting gives you one PDF with the pages you picked. Splitting gives you several PDFs, one for each range or page. You can switch between the two under Save as.

      Does extracting lower the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable, links keep working and pictures are not compressed again.

      Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is read and the new one is saved inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Can I extract the same pages from many PDFs?

With Avalon Pro, yes: add up to 500 PDFs and the same page numbers are taken from each, for example the first page of every invoice. The free version works on one PDF at a time.

      Are there limits?

The free version extracts from one PDF of up to 150 MB at a time. Avalon Pro takes up to 500 PDFs and 300 MB at once, and adds page numbers, a ZIP download, saved presets and your own file names.
