Free PDF to PowerPoint Converter: PDF to PPTX Slides

Last updated By Avalon

Turn a PDF into a PowerPoint file (.pptx) for free: one slide per page, looking exactly like the PDF.

Every page becomes one slide with the page as a sharp picture, so it looks exactly like the PDF. The text on the slides is not editable; add new text boxes on top in PowerPoint.

Free, no sign-up and no watermark. Conversion runs in your browser, so your PDF is not uploaded.

      What this tool does

It turns a PDF into a PowerPoint presentation (.pptx) with one slide per page. Each slide shows the page exactly as it looks in the PDF, so you can present a deck someone sent you as a PDF, add it to your own presentation, or write notes and new text on top. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark.

The slides are pictures of the pages. The original text is not editable; you can add new text boxes and shapes on top in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.

      How to use it

      1. Drop a PDF into the box above, or click it to choose one.

      Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF to PowerPoint converter free?

Yes. Convert as many PDFs as you like, one at a time, up to 50 pages each. No sign-up, no email and no watermark.

Can I edit the text on the slides?

Not the original text. Each PDF page is placed on its slide as one sharp picture, so the slides look exactly like the PDF, with the same fonts, layout and charts. You can add new text boxes, shapes and notes on top, reorder and delete slides, and present the deck. If you need to change the wording itself, use the free PDF to Word converter, which rebuilds editable text.

Why pictures instead of editable text?

A PDF stores letters at fixed positions, not text boxes. Converters that rebuild slides from them often break lines, swap fonts and move things around. A picture of each page keeps the slide exactly right, which is what you need to present or share a deck you received as a PDF.

      How sharp are the slides?

Pages are drawn at about 200 DPI (up to 3,200 pixels on the long side), sharp on a projector, a large TV and a 4K screen.

      What size are the slides?

The slides take the shape of the first page: a PDF exported from a 16:9 deck becomes 16:9 slides, an A4 or Letter document becomes portrait slides. Pages of a different shape are fitted inside the slide without cropping.

      Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the PDF stays on your device.

      Are there limits?

One PDF at a time, up to 50 pages and 100 MB. Avalon Pro converts up to 50 PDFs at once, up to 500 pages each, and saves the PowerPoint files as one ZIP file.
