    What this tool does

It puts 2 to 9 photos together into one image, ready to post or print. Pick a grid layout or arrange photos freely, then set the spacing, rounded corners, background color and an optional caption. Choose the shape for where you will post it, from an Instagram square to a Pinterest pin or a Story, and download a JPG or PNG with no watermark.

How to make a photo collage

    1. Press Add 2 to 9 photos (or drop them on the box). They fill the frames in order and the layout grows to fit.
    2. Pick a layout, or switch to Freeform to place photos anywhere.
    3. Drag inside a frame to move a photo, and scroll or use Zoom to zoom in.
    4. Set the Shape, Spacing, Rounded corners and Background. Add a caption if you like.
    5. Pick the Size (Standard for social posts, Large or Print for printing) and press Download collage.

Tips for a collage that looks good

    • Put your strongest photo in the biggest frame, and keep faces away from the frame edges.
    • Thin spacing (8 to 16) with the same background color as your feed looks clean. Zero spacing makes one seamless image.
    • Portrait 4:5 takes up more of the screen in a social feed than a square.
    • Keep captions short. On a busy collage, give the caption its own strip.

    Frequently asked questions

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many collages you make, and every size is free, from the 1080 px social sizes to 4,000 px for print. Avalon Pro only adds saved templates.

How do I move or zoom a photo inside its frame?

Drag inside the frame to slide the photo, and scroll with the mouse wheel or use the Zoom slider to zoom in. Re-center puts it back in the middle. To move a photo to another frame, drag it from your photo list onto that frame, or choose Swap with another frame and tap the other frame.

    What sizes can I make?

    Square 1:1 (1080 × 1080) and portrait 4:5 (1080 × 1350) for Instagram posts, 9:16 (1080 × 1920) for Stories, Reels and Shorts covers, 2:3 (1000 × 1500) for Pinterest pins, 16:9 landscape (1920 × 1080) and 3:2 (1800 × 1200) for a 6 × 4 inch print.

What is the difference between Grid and Freeform?

Grid puts each photo in a frame of the layout you pick, with even spacing, and crops it to fill the frame. Freeform shows each whole photo, uncropped, and lets you drag, resize and overlap them, with an optional soft shadow.

Can I use photos from my iPhone?

Yes. When you choose photos on an iPhone, they are normally handed to the page as JPG automatically. If a photo will not open (for example a HEIC file copied to a computer), save or share it as a JPG first.

    Can I print my collage?

Yes. Under Size, choose Print (4,000 pixels on the long side), which is enough for a sharp print about 13 inches (33 cm) on the long side at 300 dpi. Choose PNG for the best quality.

    JPG or PNG?

JPG makes a much smaller file and is what social apps expect. PNG keeps every detail and suits collages with text or graphics, or for print.

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. The collage is put together in your browser, so it is fast and your photos stay on your device.

    What does Avalon Pro add?

Saved templates: your layout, shape, spacing, corners, colors and caption style stored under a name on this device, so your next collage takes one click. Every layout, size and export stays free.
